Homer Brown Terry, III, age 72, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Medical City Lewisville.

Homer was born August 8, 1948 in Callahan County Hospital, Baird, Texas to Homer Brown Terry., II and Elsie Faye Tarrant. He attended primary school in Abilene and graduated from Eastland High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Hardin-Simmons University and a Master of Science Degree in Curriculum/Instruction from Baylor University and a degree in School Administration from East Texas State University. Homer was a member of Royal Lane Baptist Church in Dallas, TX and was a loyal Baylor Bears Sports Fan. (Sic em' Bears).

His professional career was focused in the public-school systems throughout Texas as an educator and administrator. His career took him to Rochester ISD, Killeen ISD, Longview ISD, Van ISD, New Caney ISD and he retired from the Coppell ISD as an Associate Superintendent.

Homer is survived by his mother, Faye Tarrant Terry; Son, Ben Terry; daughter in law, Annette Terry; granddaughter, Sawyer McKinley Terry; friends, Leo Avila and Chuck and Cathy Wolf and cousins: Gary and Joyce, Thomas and Terry Higgs, Judy Favor, Hugh "Bunky" Tarrant, David and Cindy Mahony, Cathy and Jim Smith and Becky and Dewayne Fox.

He was preceded in death by his father H.B. Terry.

A private burial was held at the Clyde Cemetery.
