Jack Wesley Stevens, 77, of Clyde died Monday, February 7, 2022, in a Baird nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at New Beginnings Pentecostal Church, 5535 Buffalo Gap Rd. in Abilene with Bro. Steve Carrington officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Burial will follow in Tuscola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church.

Jack was born February 27, 1944, in Abilene to O.M. and Alma Lena (Little) Stevens. He graduated from Jim Ned High School in 1963 and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cisco Junior College. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Linda Kay Maxwell in Abilene on November 16, 1968. Jack started preaching in 1972 in Levelland and later in Lawn before coming to Clyde in 1995 to Clyde First United Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Stevens of Clyde; son, Philip Wayne Stevens of Clyde; two sisters, Margie Elaine Ladner and husband Don of Ovalo and Joy Lynn Booth and husband Clyde of Lawn; daughter-in-law, Kristal Stevens of Abilene; grandchildren, Philip Wayne Stevens, Jr. and wife Rebekah, Presley Wayde Stevens, Alysa Rayanna Stevens, all of Victoria, Macey Kailyn Stevens and Kynlee Reese Stevens, both of Abilene; great granddaughter, Lilly Jane Stevens of Victoria and numerous other relatives, church family and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jared Adam Stevens; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Christina and Ralph Mackey, Billie Sue and V.R. Vaughn and Betty Jean and Charley Micham.
