Obituary

Jack Darrell Williams, 71, of Clyde died Thursday, February 6, 2020 in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jack was born February 20, 1948 in Baird to J.D. (Jack) and Venora Lea (Huddleston) Williams. He attended school in Baird and was a member of the Baptist Church. He married Katharine Zay in Clyde on February 3, 1969. He started working as a paint contractor for his uncle and also for Morgan Portable Buildings. He later worked as a security guard for Pinkerton for over ten years, retiring in 1998.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Katharine Williams of Clyde; three sons, Dwayne Williams of Clyde, Darrell Williams and wife Shirley of Clyde and David Robertson and fiancé Angie Piper of Cisco; step-son David Crowson of Sparta, Tennessee; sister Janith Price of Baird; grandchildren Bethany Robertson, Keileigh Yates, J.D. Williams, Brittney Higgs, Amanda Dodson, Timothy Gray, Brittany Gibson, Ryky Rogers and Jason Rogers; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry Williams.
