James Clifford Baird, 70, of Baird died Friday, April 26, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Baird officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

James was born June 27, 1948 in Brownwood to Clifford Newton and Georgia Estelle (Hall) Baird. He attended school in Brownwood. After school he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving over four years in the National Guard. After his service he was a truck driver for many years. He married Lisa Ashford in Clyde on August 18, 1985. He was a resident of Baird for 45 years and a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Lisa of Baird; son James Bryan Baird and wife Victoria of Big Spring; two daughters, Crystal Baird of Baird and Theresa Kay Baird of San Angelo and several grandchildren including Lexi Baird.

James was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charlie Baird.
