James William (Bill) Buster, 86, of Clyde passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at home surrounded by family. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with Rev. Louis Johnson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Bill was born August 23, 1937, in Jonesboro, Illinois to Walter and Dana (Mallory) Buster. He graduated from Anna-Jonesboro High School in 1955 and joined the military. He married Anita Ruth Reagor in Abilene on July 7, 1962. He served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years. They moved to Clyde from Alamogordo, New Mexico in 1975. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clyde.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anita Ruth Buster of Clyde; two sons, James Walter Buster and wife Kelly of Milton, Florida and Alfred Mallory Buster and wife Angela of Watauga; one daughter, Alice Marie Lanham and husband Jason of Baird; one brother, Richard L. Buster of Colorado; one sister, Joan Miller of Illinois; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Claude David Foster and Alfred T. Buster and two sisters, Caroline Page and Dorothy Filter.
