Jayson (Jay) Ryan Cook, 45, of Abilene passed away Monday, July 17, 2023. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jay was born February 15, 1978, in Abilene to Karen (Copeland) Cook. He graduated from Cooper High School. He worked as a handyman and was a lifelong resident of the Abilene area.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Copeland of Abilene; two daughters, Corrina Whitley of Baird and Alyssa Cook of Grandview; brother, David Lee and wife Samantha of Iowa; sister, Lacey Rodgers; three grandchildren, Addilyn, Karsten and Josiphina McCuthen; grandmother, Robbie Cook of Houston; uncle, John Cook and wife Mary of Houston and several nieces and nephews.
