Jimmie Dean Clark Horton, 74, died Thursday, October 5, 2023, at her home in Clyde.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Ft. Phantom Hill Cemetery with David Simms officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.

Jimmie was born March 21, 1949, in Abilene to Delmer Lee "Bud" Clark and Winnie Lucille Hail.  She started school in Elmdale and graduated from Hawley High School.  Jimmie married Ralph Horton in Vancouver, Washington, on October 11, 1997.  They moved to Clyde from Vancouver in 2012. Jimmie was a case worker for MHMR and was a member of the Baptist church.

Jimmie is survived by her husband, Ralph Horton of Clyde; four sons, Jerry Ritter, Jr. and wife Carla of Abilene, Rodney Ritter and wife Dawnette of Abilene; Timothy Ritter of El Paso and Timothy Horton and wife Kassiey of Ft. Worth; one daughter, Tammie Ritter of Tyler; one brother, Roy Clark and wife Becky of Eula; two sisters, Dorothy Harter and husband John of Woodway, Texas, and Seretta Smallridge and husband Guy of Gatesville; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Lometa "Pete" Rambin, Cleeman Fern Lee and Debra Lucille Bishop.
