Jo Juan Rogers, 89, of Clyde died Saturday, March 30, 2019 in an Abilene hospital. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Clyde Cemetery with Dr. Toby Henson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Jo Juan was born May 28, 1929 in Olney, Texas to John Clarence and Ida Irene (Scott) Earp. She attended Moran High School and married D.C. Rogers, III in Baird on February 7, 1947. They moved to Clyde in 1953 and she has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Clyde since 1956. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star / Clyde Lodge 308 and Moran Lodge 591 and a past Matron of the Clyde Lodge. Jo Juan was a seamstress and a homemaker.
She is survived by her son Dennis Rogers and wife Cindy of Clyde; three grandchildren, D.C. (Chuck) Rogers, IV of Clyde, Denise Chabarria and husband Oscar of Abilene and Mary Jo Rogers of Clyde; five great grandchildren, Coltan, Robby and Emma Ramos and Jade and Ronin Chabarria.
Jo Juan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Dale Eugene Rogers, sister Christene Stockton, three brothers, J.C. Earp Jr., James (J.W.) Earp and an infant brother.
