Joan “Nubbin” Huddleston, 80, of Clyde passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Clyde First Baptist Church with Dr. Toby Henson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kendrick Cemetery at Denton Valley. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Joan was born October 2, 1945, in Abilene to Harlon Lewis and Nayta Ada (Williams) Davis. She graduated from Eula High School and married her high school sweetheart, Adrian Huddleston, in Abilene on July 14, 1962. Joan worked at Clyde ISD for 40 years aiding children with learning and speech disabilities. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clyde and taught Sunday School and Women’s Bible Study. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Adrian Huddleston; her son, Monty Huddleston and wife Mendy of Clyde; daughter, Shea Pieczynski and husband Chris of Abilene; three granddaughters, Ryann Grice and husband, Duane of Hawley, Kylan Burns and husband Austin of Cleburne and Adyson Huddleston-Ellison and husband C.J. of Clyde; three great grandchildren, Kinsler Grice, Kaneaan Grice, Baker Burns and soon, Rayleigh Ellison and many other relatives and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Harlon and Nayta Davis; her daughter, Tonya Huddleston in 1967; one brother and five sisters.
