Johnny Lee Chittum, 57, of Baird died Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in an Abilene hospice facility. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Belle Plain Cemetery with Paul Matta officiating.

Johnny was born January 22, 1963 in Abilene to John and Wanda (Bales) Chittum. He graduated from Clyde High School. He worked as a machinist for Lockheed in Abilene, Aerobotics in Ft. Worth, CDS – Leopole in Austin and Bell Helicopter in Arlington. He moved back to the Baird area from the Metroplex in 2016. Johnny was a member of the Clyde Church of Christ and attended the Baird Church of Christ.

He is survived by his mother Wanda Chittum of Baird; two brothers, James Chittum of Palo Pinto and Justin Chittum and wife Karma of Abilene; niece Amber Hardin and husband Cody of Granbury and nephew T.J. Chittum of Palo Pinto.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
