Karen A. Butman, 48, of Gruver, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in a Dallas hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Clyde Cemetery with Pastor Mike Murphy officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Karen was born July 8, 1975, in Bloomington, Indiana to Curtis Ray and Karen Suzette (Gill) Smythe. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1994. After graduation, she married Robert Butman in Abilene on July 29, 1994. Karen loved her family and was always there to support them in any of their activities, including their sporting events, stock shows and 4H competitions.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Robert Butman of Gruver; three children, Sabrina Lynn Butman and husband Harley Davidson of Turner, Oklahoma, Sierria Michelle Butman and husband Griffin McGraw George of Spearman, Texas and Dakota Wayne Butman of Gruver; three brothers, Jonathan Smythe of Potosi, Curtis Smythe, Jr. of Potosi and Dustin Smythe of Clyde; three grandchildren, Averie Nicole Butman, Aiden Jamie Wayne Davidson and Ryker Davidson.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Karen Smythe.
