Obituary

Karen Lou Deardorff, 70, of Clyde, died Sunday, January 5, 2020, at the Clyde Nursing Center.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 9, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Clyde with Dr. Toby Henson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Admiral Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.

Karen was born November 6, 1949, in Ft. Worth to Gordon P. and Tippie (Hawk) Deardorff.  Soon after Karen's birth, she developed major complications, and the doctors informed her parents that they were taking her home to die. Seventy years later, after fulfilling God's purpose for her life, bringing joy and laughter to everyone she met, she passed peacefully from sleep into eternity, made perfect and whole.  Despite all of this, she graduated from Arlington High School.  Her family later moved to Clyde from Arlington in 2005.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clyde where she recently celebrated her 70 th birthday.

Karen is survived by her mother Tippie Deardorff of Clyde; her sister Phyllis Graham of Clyde; her nieces and nephews Philip Devin Norman, Christi Brennan, and Jami Ramos; her great-nieces and nephews Michael Brennan, Cody Brennan, and Kaleigh Brennan; and her great-great-niece Addison Grace Brennan.

She was preceded in death by her father Gordon Deardorff; her uncle Billy Joe Hawk; and her maternal grandparents Luther and Cynthia Hawk.
