Kay was born December 5, 1940, in Comanche to Herbert Daniel and Dorothy (Vinson) Cloud. She attended Breckenridge High School. Kay accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a very early age. She later moved to Texas, making her home with her family in Abilene, where she was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Kay resided in Fort Worth at the time of her death and lived near her daughter and best friend, Lisa Renee.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Renee Mitchell and husband David; three sons, Gary D. Cheek and wife Jill, Brian Allen Cheek and wife Kay and Robert Clay Cheek and wife Kim; two brothers, Herbert Neal Cloud of Abilene and Randy Harold Duebler of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandsons, Gary (Cindy), Nekoda Spencer (Haley), Clay Nash (Ryan), Danny Cheek and Drake Caner; nine granddaughters, Katie Moss (Colt), Tiffany Hazard (Billy), Shelby Hanigan (Tanner), Kourtney Schopper (Adam), Megan Calvery (Jamey), Hannah Banales (Aaron), Rebecca Cheek, Emma Graham and Leanne Nash; 29 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
