Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Ray Bodine, 61, of Abilene, formerly of Clyde died Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Clyde with Pastor Louis Brewer officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Kenny was born June 17, 1958 in Abilene to Leonard and Ora "Tiny" (Hughes) Bodine. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1976. He was a welder by trade and started his career with B-W Oilfield Equipment, working there for 20 years. Later he worked for Smith Pipe of Abilene, retiring after 15 years with them. He was an avid hunter and a member of the First Baptist Church of Clyde. He loved his family and was a wonderful G-Pa to his eight grandkids.

He is survived by his mother Ora "Tiny" Bodine of Clyde; son Kody Bodine and wife Ann of San Angelo; daughter Kimberly Coates and husband Rocky of Coahoma; two sisters, Francis Frost and husband Randy of Wyoming and Vickie Searcy and husband Mark of Clyde; eight grandchildren, Colton, Braiden, Emilee, Trinity, Alexis, Paisley, Brynlee and Liam and numerous other relatives and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father Leonard and his brother Ronald Glen Bodine.
