Kenneth (Ken) Daniel Turner, 82, of Clyde passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Homestead Nursing and Rehab of Baird.

Ken was born April 19, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the only child to Willene (Bill) and Gertrude Turner. Ken joined the U.S. Air Force at an early age and retired in 1981. He had many interests and skills he used in his lifetime. He was an exceptional carpenter and remodeled his homes. Ken also enjoyed working on cars and traveling with his wife Wanda. He was a partner in a construction business and a freon reclamation business.

Ken married Wanda (McCleary) Melega on February 14, 1979. Wanda preceded him in death on June 22, 2016, after 37 years of marriage. He was an active member of Bible Baptist Church in Clyde, where he sang in the choir.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, his parents, Bill and Gertrude, his nephew, Keith May and daughter-in-law, Cathy McCleary.

Left to remember him is his best friend, Patricia Page of Baird; children, Scott McCleary (Shirley) of Abilene, Sheri Porter (Wayne) of Sioux City, Iowa, Kathy Richburg (Russell) of Clyde, Mark Turner (Shelly) of Roseville, California; grandchildren, Caleb Sims and his children of Sioux City, Iowa, Logan Weber and his son of Clyde, Kenneth Weber of Estherville, Iowa and his children, Shelby Foil (Randy) and their daughter of Abilene, Sara Richburg and daughter of Clyde; niece, Marla Marcum (Rooster) and her father, Lynn May.

Cremation will take place without a ceremony and his ashes will be scattered per Ken's wishes.
