Kristie Louise Cox, 58, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at home in Clyde, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Kristie was born July 20, 1965, in Dumas, Texas to Stan and Doris (Rieger) McCormick. Her family moved to Baird when she was a child and she graduated from Baird High School. She married John Cox, the love of her life, in Clyde on May 21, 1988. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, talented creator, and member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, John Cox of Clyde; her son, John D. Cox II of Dallas; daughters Jaclyn Mendez and fiancé Joshua Lane of Pinehurst, North Carolina and Andrea Herring and husband Aaron of Abilene; two brothers, Bob McCormick and wife Michelle of Temple and Mike McCormick and wife Stephanie of Baird, and two grandchildren, Kai and Anora Cox, both of Dallas.

Kristie was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Doris McCormick, as well as her grandson Joel Cox.
