Lewis Don McGough, 85, of Abilene passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, in an Abilene nursing facility. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco with Pastor Tommy Culwell officiating.

Lewis was born July 23, 1938, in Cisco to Pat James and Lillian Dolores McGough. He graduated from Cisco High School and served in the U.S. Marines from 1956 until 1962. He moved to Abilene from Brownwood in 1963 and worked as a welder.

He is survived by his son, Shane McGough of Abilene; three daughters, Alise Miller of Hawley, LaTeshia Hunter and Misty Placker, both of Abilene; two sisters, Barbara Westbrook of Eastland and Kay Mosley of Cross Plains; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents.
