Lily Dale Walters Kilough Mitchell, 79, of Clyde died Saturday, May 5, 2018 in a local care center. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Clyde Cemetery with Rev. Terry Lambert officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Clyde with Dr. Toby Henson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lily was born June 28, 1938 in Henrietta, Texas to Ace and Inez Walters. Her parents were migrant workers and she went to school in several different places, including Trent and Clyde. Lily was the widow of Jewell Franklin Kilough, whom she married on June 14, 1954. He preceded her in death in October 1982. She later married Kenneth Rex Mitchell on April 12, 1985. He preceded her in death in August 2015.

She was wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and GiGi and chose to live in Clyde to raise her family. Lily loved her family and the Lord and shared her knowledge of Him with everyone. She also loved to garden and had beautiful flowers. She loved to fish and spent many weekends at the lake. She loved to work crossword puzzles, play bingo, dance, laugh and live life.

She is survived by her son Audie Kilough and wife Vickie of Baird; two daughters, Helen Kilough Wilson and husband Jimmy of Clyde and Darla Kilough Stultz of Clyde; step-daughters, Paige Mitchell Rutledge of Hawley and Kamica Mitchell of Abilene; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and her companion Dean Runnels.

Lily was preceded in death by her parents, her son Greg Kilough, daughter-in-law Nancy Kilough and three brothers, Archie, Floyd and Freeman Walters.
