Lois Smith, 96, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018, in an Abilene care center.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Eula Cemetery with Chaplain Kathi Edwards officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Lois was born September 26, 1922 in Callahan County to Calvin and Ivadelle (Gibson) Farmer.  She attended Eula High School and married Roger Smith August 16, 1941 in Spur, Texas. They moved to Abilene from El Paso in March of 2006.  She was a homemaker and a Methodist.

She is survived by her son, Roger Kenneth "Ken" Smith of Eula; brother Johnny Farmer and wife Betty of Abilene; three grandchildren, Roger Kenneth Smith, Jr. and wife Shannon of North Carolina, Justin Smith and wife Andie of Abilene and Jesse Smith of Eula; two great-grandchildren, Levi and Leia Smith of North Carolina.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger; two brothers, C.R. and Wayne Farmer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
