Loretta Kay Allen, 72, of Clyde passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, in a Baird nursing home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Church at Glenoma in Glenoma, Washington.

Loretta was born May 19, 1952, in Summerville, Missouri to Alva and Helen (Clipper) Brooks. She attended school in Mountainview, Missouri before moving to Morton, Washington, where she graduated high school. She married the love of her life, Jerry Allen, on June 20, 1970, at a church in Glenoma, Washington, where Jerry later became the pastor. Loretta worked as the custodian for the church for many years. They moved to the Clyde area in 1997.

Loretta is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Allen of Clyde; one son, Jeremy Allen of Australia; one brother, Archie Brooks and wife Carrie of Friday Harbor, Washinton and two grandchildren, Addie and Caleb of Australia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alva; her brother, George Riley Brooks; her mother, Helen and her sister, Linda Pace.
