Being the sister to five brothers, everyone called her Sissy. She was born March 8, 1942, in Abilene to Raymond Leo and Thelma Ann (Donnelly) Prew. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Abilene. Sissy's first job was as a soda jerk at Graves Drug Store in Abilene. This is where she met the love of her life, Donald Byron Miller, and they were later married in Abilene on June 3, 1961. Sissy later worked for the Green Stamp Store for 25 years, for AISD in food service for 19 years and also for Shotwell Stadium in concessions. Sissy enjoyed camping trips with her family and casino trips with the girls to play the penny slots. She never turned down a game of chicken foot or passed up a Dr. Pepper or a bowl of Blue Bell Ice Cream. She was just Ma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sissy sent cards to her family members every birthday, graduation or special occasion with a card signed "Love Ma and Pa" with a small amount of money in each card. She was a devoted Christian that loved the Lord and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald Byron Miller; her son, Charles "Chuck" Miller and wife VaLynda of Clyde; two daughters, Jill Ann Bradshaw and husband David of Abilene and Marcy Ann Hoyt and husband Scott of Leander; one brother, Donald Prew of Buffalo Gap; six grandchildren, D.J.
