Lou Anne Steele, 70, of Clyde passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Rowden Baptist Church, 2990 State Hwy. 36 East, Baird, with Pastor Wayne Lenz officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Lou Anne was born March 11, 1954, in Waco to John and Thelma (Cogburn) Holland. She attended DeLeon High School and married Ronnie Lee Steele in Gustine on February 2, 1971. They moved to Clyde from Gustine in 1981 and she worked as a secretary for Pine Street Salvage for 15 years. Lou Anne was a member of Rowden Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Melissa Steele of Eula and Jeremy Steele of Clyde; two brothers, Willie Holland and wife Shirley of Comanche and Eddie Holland and wife Ann of DeLeon; one sister, Irene Barfield of Desdemona; three grandchildren, Coltin Steele and wife Heather, Autumn Steele and Paxton Steele and two great grandchildren, Raelynn Steele and Remington Steele.

Lou Anne was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronnie.
