Louis Andrew Brewer, 79, of Clyde passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at his home. No services are planned at this time.

Louis was born May 23, 1945, in Goose Creek to Louis Fagan and Rosalee (James) Brewer. He attended schools in Hawley and Abilene. He worked for Merchants Motor Lines as the local delivery man for 30 years and later for Central Freight Lines for 15 years. After his retirement, he served as the minister for Southside Baptist Church in Clyde for a few years, until he had to retire due to health reasons. Louis loved woodworking and made many things for friends and family over the years. He married Judy Carol Tomlinson in Clyde in 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Brewer of Clyde; his daughter, Kristi Cato and husband Aaron of Abilene; one sister, Edith Cargill of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Steven Cato of Clyde and Dolan Cato of Abilene and three great grandchildren.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ida Lou, in 2018; his daughter, Lisa Brewer; two brothers, Elbert and Nolan and two sisters, Thelma and Velma.
