Lunden David Seals, Jr. (Sonny), of Baird died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in an Abilene hospice facility. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Belle Plaine Cemetery with Pastor David Acevedo officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Sonny was born July 6, 1951, in Merkel to L.D. and Dalphany LaVerne (Warren) Seals. He graduated from Cooper High School. He was a truck driver by trade and he was the owner/operator of his own truck for over 40 years. He loved motorcycles and had a group of friends and fellow riders called the "SOF" club for over 30 years. He even had the gas tank on his own bike painted to match the album cover from Pink Floyd's, The Dark Side of the Moon.

He is survived by his children, daughter, Valery Gonzalez and husband John of Irving Texas, son, Lunden Seals III "Tres" and wife She-Ra Seals of Baird Texas, son, Andrew Seals of Nebraska and a special close family friend as a son, Patrick Mooney and wife Jenn Mooney of Azle Texas. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren;  also niece, Holly McGee and husband Brent Biberdorf of Baird Texas and nephew,  Zeb McGee and wife Mary of Abilene Texas. He had many, many friends he considered family, especially a lot of the SOF crew and children he influenced along the way.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Dalton and his sister, Brenda McGee.
