Loretta Marie Redwine passed from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Clyde, Texas.

Marie was born August 24, 1924, to Harvey T. and Rosa (Smith) Odom in Richton, Mississippi, Perry County. She grew up in the Whitfield community and graduated from Whitfield High School in April 1944. She then attended Jones Junior College for one year before attending Cranston Business School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

In July of 1946, Marie moved to Kermit, Texas and went to work for Griffith and Video Independent Theater, where she met the love of her life, Lewis E. Redwine. Marie and Lewis were married on April 5th, 1947, in Kermit and enjoyed 56 years together. They were blessed with two sons.

Marie also worked for the Kermit School Cafeteria for a long period of time. She then volunteered as church hostess at First Baptist Church, Kermit, for twenty years, where she was an active member. Marie enjoyed cooking, baking, doing crafts and embroidering, as well as hosting her family and friends. Marie enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters when the opportunities arose.

Marie moved to Midland, Texas in 2005, after the death of her husband. She was an active member of Alamo Heights Baptist Church.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her two sons, William (Bill) Thomas Redwine and wife, Naomi of Huber Heights, Ohio and Gary Lewis Redwine and wife, Ann of Albany, Texas; grandchildren, Courtney Redwine Milligan and husband, Timothy of Albany, Texas, Katrina Redwine Palm and husband, Adam of Shakopee, Minnesota, Christina Redwine of Huber Heights, Ohio, Sabrina Redwine of Huber Heights, Ohio, Matthew Dennis of Greenville, Ohio and Marie Dennis of Huber Heights, Ohio and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Francis Hall of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Grace Odom of Bandera, Texas, Edith Scheaffer of Houston, Texas and Athan Odom of Anaheim, California and Joe Odom and wife, Martha of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including Claire Bramlett of Vernon, Texas.
