Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Reddell, 79, of Clyde died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in an Abilene hospice facility. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde with Brother Larry Hooper officiating.

Betty was born October 14, 1938 in Archer City to Walter Zeno and Katherine (Bell) Johnson. Her father died when she was young and her mother later married Allen McCarthy, whom raised her as his own. Betty graduated from High School in Dallas and later went back to school, receiving her LVN License when she was 35. She worked for Hendrick Medical Center for many years and retired from Mesa Spring Healthcare Center. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Danny Wayne Lewis and Rockney Dave Lewis; two daughters, Collette Fields and Lesa Nicole Rosinbaum, all of Abilene; sister Kay Ford of Houston; three grandchildren Kelly Evans, Dave Lewis and Robin Lewis; five great grandchildren and niece Vanessa Ford and nephew Van Ford.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bill Reddell and brother James Johnson.
