Mary Jo "Jodi" Ash or Memaw, as she was affectionally known, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Stone officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Jodi was born September 21, 1938, in Abilene to James Finas and Nellie Marie Olney. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1957. She married Rocky Ash in 1958, and they made their home in Clyde. Jodi loved music of all types and enjoyed playing the organ and electric guitar. She loved crafts and painting, especially sewing and cooking. She was a homemaker for most of her life. For nearly 60 years she was the backbone of her husband's auction business. Loving all animals was her other passion from skunks to her dogs.

She is survived by her son, Andy Ash of Abilene; daughter, April Johnson of Clyde; six grandchildren, Jordan Howe of Clyde, Lance Johnson of Oplin, Paige Johnson and Matt Reed of Clyde, Gatlin Ash of Abilene, Caden Cannon and wife McKenzie of Abilene and Shayne Ash of Abilene; eight great grandchildren, Kyli-Brooke Johnson, Delainie Johnson, Kutter Johnson, Payton Johnson, Gracelynn Beck, Kenden Morris, Paisley Ash and Channing Cannon.

We would also like to thank Robert Donaho and Sarah Fay Faynan, who she considered her bonus children.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Kinder Hearts Hospice and all of her friends who would send prayers and check in on her.
