Mary Lavaughn McMillan, 71, of Abilene died Friday, December 13, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2019 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with David Peterson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary was born November 24, 1948 in Haskell to Floyd and Ollie (Bell) Darnell. She graduated from Camp Cama High School in Japan in 1966 and later attended San Angelo State University. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Runnels Home Health and Hendrick Medical Center. She married Bobby McMillan in Abilene on June 16, 1967. Mary was a member of the Highland Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son Michael McMillan of Dallas; daughter Carmen McMillan Baidas and husband John of Clyde; brother Harold Floyd Darnell of Abilene; twelve grandchildren, Kristen, Kara, Quinn, Kelsey, Landon, Brittany, Macalistair, Kyler, Kameron, Tyler, Savanah and Kendall; three great grandchildren, Grayson, Tyree and Mathew.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, Timothy Sean McMillan.
