Mary Sue Moore Farish was born on November 2, 1933, in Dallas, Texas, to Ed and Eula Mae Moore. She had a younger brother, John, and younger sister, Rosalie. Mary Sue was raised in Dallas until age 15 when her family moved to Irving.  She was a graduate of Irving High School and attended North Texas State University in Denton where she studied music.

Mary Sue was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Irving.  It was there that she met Buck Farish and, a year later,married him on June 27, 1953.  They were married for over 71 years before his death last September.  Mary Sue served at FBC in many ways, including singing in the choir, teaching Kindergarten Sunday School (for over 40 years), and hosting many youth events. Many life-long friendships were made there.

Buck and Mary Sue raised four sons: Mark, Les, Tim, and John.  She was then blessed with AMAZING daughters-in-law, whom she loved so well.

Mary Sue was the consummate homemaker and hostess.  She had an amazing gift for serving others. She was a great vacation planner; her children and grandchildren have many memories of family vacations to Colorado and weekends and holidays at their lake house on Cedar Creek.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister, husband (whom she lovingly and tirelessly cared for in his last years), and son, Les.  Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Mark & Teresa, Tim & Mary Ann, and John & Paula. Her grandchildren and spouses are Rachel, Mindy & Chris, Stephanie & Chris, Daniel & Nicole, Elizabeth & Dalton, David & Falon, Reed, Alex, and Scott. Her great-grandchildren are Ethan, Landen, Micah, Jesse, Finley, Ashton, Cooper, Felicity, Reese, and Farrah. She also has a loved sister-in-law, Shirley Farish, and numerous nieces

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 11, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 403 South Main Street, with visitation at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
