Mary Helen Nance, 82, of Trent, formerly of Clyde, died Monday, December 14, 2020 in an Abilene hospice facility. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Clyde Cemetery with Richard Beaver officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the graveside at the funeral home.
Mary was born December 18, 1937 in Jones County to Arlie and Lucille (Pierce) McGinnis. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1956. She married Jerry Nance in Abilene on June 5, 1956. She worked as a bookkeeper for Parker Foods, retiring after over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jerry Nance of Trent; two sons, Kenny Nance and wife Connie of Lamesa and John Nance and wife Cassandra of Trent; daughter Mary Martha (Stormy) King and husband David of Lumberton; two sisters, Louise Bond of Rising Star and Wanda Brown and husband Bill of Abilene; six grandchildren, Cole Nance, Nigel Nance, Dereck King, Nikki Igarta, Christopher Cribb and Jeffrey Cribb; four great grandchildren, Maverick King, Rylee King, Matthew Cribb and Isabella Cribb and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jerry Michael and brother T. L. McGinnis.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
