Matthew "Mouse" Curtis Ford McCrary, 36, died Monday, March 9, 2020, at his home in Merkel. A celebration of life and a benefit for his children will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15th, at Billiard's Plus, 5495 South 7 th Street, in Abilene. There will be BBQ plates, an auction and a Scottish Rite Send Off.
Matthew was born April 7, 1983, in Midland, to Alan Scott and Judy Ann (Bouchillon) McCrary. The family moved to Abilene from Midland in 1997 and Matthew graduated from Abilene High School. He is a US Army veteran. Matthew worked as a lineman on power lines for 15 years, working for J.W. Powerlines the last year.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Alan and Judy McCrary of Clyde; his son, Jacob Curtis McCrary of Clyde; his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth McCrary of Clyde; his brothers, Brandon McCrary and wife Amber of Clyde and John McCrary and wife Darla Williams of Merkel; nieces and nephews, James Seals, Scott McCrary, Jace McCreary, Chase Pope, Emily Pope and Haley Pope; his grandmother, Ann McCrary of Frisco; his grandfather, Sammy and wife Joan Bouchillon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that are more like family.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jeanne Bouchillon (Gussie); his grandfather, Everett Brooks McCrary (Mac); his great-grandmother, Meschael Ford (Mamma Ford); his great-grandmother, Addy Mae Bouchillon (Nana); and his grandmother, Judith Faye McCrary (Grandma Judy).
