Melissa Grace Lindley, 14, and her sister Starla Mae Joy Lindley, 11, died Friday morning, March 2, 2018, in a vehicle accident on I-20 in Abilene. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the Church of Christ, 407 Austin Street, in Clyde with Malcolm Kniffen officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.
Melissa was born May 3, 2003, in Brownwood, and Starla was born August 27, 2006, in Abilene, and are the daughters of Alan and Jesse Everett Lindley. They were home schooled and participated in Friday School (Home School Co-Op) in Abilene. They both participated in horseback riding at Shockey Stables, and were members of King David's Kids. They were members of Northside Church of Christ in Clyde.
Melissa and Starla are survived by their parents, Alan and Jesse Lindley of Clyde; three brothers, Jeremy Alan Lindley of Waco, Benjamin Daniel Lindley of Corsicana and Preston Seth Lindley of Clyde; their maternal grandparents, Dan & Joyce Everett of Louisiana; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
They were preceded in death by their paternal grandparents, Buell and Dovie Lindley.
