Michael Scott Henderson, Sr., 38, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in Potosi Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Michael was born on October 15, 1982 in Coleman, Texas. Michael attended elementary school in Odessa, Texas and then continued his education at Coleman High School. Michael was a roughneck and worked in the oilfield as a Chain Hand Derrick. Michael married Lisa Lowery on November 3, 2001. Michael loved fishing, being outdoors and playing video games, but his heart belonged to his 3 children. Michael moved to Leachville, Arkansas June 8, 2018. Michael was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas.

Michael is survived by Lisa Henderson of Abilene; father, Jeff Love and wife Connie of Odessa; two sons, Michael Scott Henderson, Jr., 18 and Tripp Kyzer Henderson, 8; one daughter Chancey Deann Henderson, 13; one sister, Megan Lusk of Oklahoma; his girlfriend, Brandy Cooper of Leachville, Arkansas and her two children, Jasmine Moore, 11 and Gabrielle Moore, 12.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Missy Lusk, his grandmother, Alma Hall and one sister, Nicole Henderson.
