Michael Gary Methvin, 77, of Clyde, formerly of Nevada died Monday, July 19, 2021. Honoring his request, no services will be held at this time.

Michael was born January 13, 1944 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Hutch and Bernice (Reid) Methvin. He graduated from East High School in Anchorage, Alaska in 1963 and attended the University of Alaska in Anchorage. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Era. He married Deborah Ann Rauch in Kenai, Alaska on March 8, 1985. They moved to Clyde from Nevada in 2018 and he was a member of the American Legion.

Michael loved doing puzzles and listening to podcasts about space. He was always willing to listen to and help his family and friends and will be missed by them all.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Deb Methvin of Clyde; son, Patrick MacKinnon of Washington; daughter, Melina Hillis of Kodiak, Alaska; two brothers, Daryl Methvin and wife Janet of Wichita Falls; sister Jackie Thomas of Nenana, Alaska; two grandchildren, Ashley Hillis of Alaska and Lachlan Shockley of Washington and many other relatives and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dave Thomas and sister, Diane Thomas.
