Michael (Mike) John Pienta, 78, of Baird passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at his home. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church of Clyde with his brother, Father Bob Pienta as the major concelebrant and Father Albert Ezeanya as concelebrant. Burial will follow with military honors at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Mike was born May 25, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan to Anthony and Vivienne Joyce (Holzworth) Pienta. He graduated from St. John's Catholic High School in Jackson, Michigan and shortly after graduation he joined the US Air Force. He served his country for 20 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. He married the love of his life, Teresa Robinson, in Big Spring on August 26, 1967. He worked in Aerospace and Logistics for Boeing for 24 years and was a member of Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church of Clyde. Mike was always helpful and kind and would lend a hand to anyone in need. He was loved by many and will be missed by them all.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Teresa (Teri) Pienta; one daughter, Stephanie A. Seals and husband Doug of Abilene; two brothers, John Pienta and wife Cathy of North Carolina and BobPienta of Jackson, Michigan; sister-in-law, Linda Pienta of Niceville, Florida; two grandchildren, Chris Seals and wife Amy of Breckenridge and Tim Seals and Cathleen of Clyde: threegreat grandchildren, Braelyn and Jaycee Seals and Thomas Ward and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Vivienne; his sister, Pat Pletcher and his brothers, Phillip and Thomas Pienta.
