Michael Dean Wright, 56, of Clyde died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in an Abilene hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29 ^th at Oplin Cemetery with Jerry Palmer officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Michael was born September 2, 1965, in Hollis, Oklahoma to Otis Ovie and Betty Lavell (Lambert) Wright. He attended school in Eldorado, Oklahoma and moved to Clyde in 1985. Michael was a jack of all trades and worked as a body shop man for Collins Collision. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Johnathan Michael Wright and fiancé Aerial White of Clyde; his daughter, Janay Atkins and husband Matthew Reed of Clyde; one brother, Darrell Wright of Tuscola; two sisters, Darlene Gilbert and husband James of Cross Plains and Farene Wright of Eldorado, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Alyssa Wright, Isaiah Cerda, Ashton Atkins, Auston Atkins and Aerilyn Campbell; nephews, James Gilbert, Jr., Jonathan Gilbert and Dale Royal; nieces, Patty Powell and Debbie Helton.
