Mitzi Eloise Boren, 45, of Clyde passed away Monday, December 18, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at First United Methodist Church in Baird.

Mitzi was born October 30, 1978, in Abilene to Brenda Day. Her mother later married Raymond Murphy and he proudly adopted her. She graduated from Cooper High School and was in the ROTC. She received her LVN degree from Cisco Junior College. She worked in many nursing homes in Albany, Stamford, Baird, Clyde and many in Abilene. She worked for Hendrick Medical Center at the start of her career.  She got experience working at the prison in Abilene where she loved telling everyone "she turned 21 in prison". The last job she had was with Generation Home Health Center, where she cared for many all over the Big Country. Fourteen years ago, she found the love of her life, Courtney Boren, and they married on August 3, 2019.

She is survived by wife, Courtney Boren of Clyde; two sons, Bryson Stanton and Grayson Stanton, both of Clyde; her father, Raymond Murphy and wife Audrey of Abilene; brother, Ryan Murphy of Abilene; sister, Liz Berry of Abilene; mother-in-law, Mary Boren of Albany; sister-in-law, Christi Ferguson of Albany; niece, Bailey Ferguson of Albany; nephew, Taylor Ferguson of Albany; many aunts, uncles, cousins and the family Mitzi and her wife built together over the years.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Murphy; grandmother, Elan Eloise Stewart Day; uncle, Jeff L. Day and father-in-law, Dwayne Boren.
