Obituary

Nancy Kathleen Cooper, 62, of Abilene died Saturday, August 14, 2021 in an Abilene hospital. Honoring her wishes, no services are planned at this time.

Nancy was born February 22, 1959 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Walter and Kathleen (McDowell) Hoffman. She moved to Clyde from Nebraska in 1972 and attended Clyde ISD. Nancy worked as a painter for Eagle Aviation for over 20 years, retiring in 2020. She was a member of the American Legion, Unit 57 of Abilene.

She is survived by her son, Nicholas Cooper and wife Shelby of Abilene; daughter, Jami Paxton of Abilene; sisters, Penny Pogrant of Abilene and Leslie "Winkie" Prickett and husband Robert of Clyde; two grandchildren, Kylee Green and August Casselberry, both of Abilene; great grandchildren, Harper and Christian; niece, Jennifer Hyer of Abilene; nephew, J.D. Prickett and many other relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Hoffman and Kathleen Eva Essex and her son, Robert Shawn Paxton.
