Nancy Catheryne Tubb was born in Crowley, Louisiana on April 5, 1956. Her parents are Kay Steen and John Tubb, Jr. Nancy graduated with honors from Acadiana High School in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was awarded a four year scholarship by Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline Company. She spent her first college year at Lyola Merrimount University in California. She returned to Houston and spent the last three scholarship years at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned a BS in marketing and finance and an MBA. She went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Houston. When Bell had to be broken up she went to New Jersey and helped plan the finances for the new company. She worked for AT&T for many years and then decided she wanted to work for a company in Boston, Massachusetts that helped businesses expand and plan.

When her mother came back to Clyde she came with her. She worked for Mert Swofford at the Title Company, then for Andy Ladyman and finally for Walmart. She came to help her mom through heart surgery. Recently she was awarded disability and in November she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

She loved dogs and horses. Her Italian Greyhound, Beau, was a champion at Westminster and her Palomino, Sandy, was shown and won. She loved to write and for awhile wrote with a group online. Books were her passion, we have books in every corner - Lee Child, David Balda, Frederick Forsythe – favorites Georgette Hyer and Barbara Cartland and of course Louis LaMore.

Nancy was preceded in death by her cousin Shane Rice, her great-grandparents and grandparents.

She is survived by her father John Tubb, Jr. and his wife Ann of Houston; her mother Kay Steen of Clyde; her brother John Tubb, III and his children, Alan Hilton, John Tubb and Haleigh Tubb; aunts, Sharon Rice of Wingate and Fay Williams of Statesboro, Georgia and cousin Amy Rowell and husband Harold of Statesboro, Georgia.
