NOLLIE CATHOLINE HERRINGTON

April 23, 1916 – November 30, 2018

Nollie Catholine Herrington, 102, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at the Clyde Nursing Center, Clyde, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, January 20, 2019, at the Clyde Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.

Nollie was born April 21, 1916, to Edgar E. and Stella Cox Herrington. She graduated from Colorado City High School in 1933. She was a Chief Operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone (AT&T) in various cities in Texas for 35 years, retiring in 1972 in Pearl, TX. She moved to Clyde in 1985. As an active member of the Clyde Church of Christ, she was involved in World Bible School and supported mission work, children's homes, and Disability Resources, Inc.

Family members affectionately referred her to as "Aunt Pete". She is survived by one sister, Inita Ballard of  Gatesville, TX , many nieces and nephews, Sherri Lehnick and husband Gene of California; Del Watson and wife Rita of Tennessee; Debbie Walker of Smithville, Texas; Mike Watson and wife Martha of Tuscola, Texas; Tom Herrington of California; Mark Ballard and wife Barbara of Copperas Cove, Texas; Ken Watson and wife Tammy of Devil's River State Park in Texas; Tammy Ballard of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her parents, four siblings and three nephews predeceased her.

Memorials may be made to the Clyde Church of Christ, 206 S. 4 th Street, Clyde, Texas, 79510, in honor of her work with World Bible School.
