Obituary

Norman (Buddy) Dwight Rogers, 74, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Clyde with Dr. Toby Henson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Buddy was born March 28, 1944 in Miami, Arizona to Paul H. and Pauline (Shanks) Rogers. He graduated from Andrews High School in Andrews, Texas and attended Baylor University. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 until 1970. After his military service, he worked for Texaco for 30 years, retiring as production superintendent in 1999. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clyde.

He is survived by his son Jeffrey K. Rogers and wife Amy of Knoxville, Tennessee; his daughter Cathy Rene` Mohs and husband Thomas of Eagan, Minnesota; three brothers, Paul Lynn Rogers and wife Shirley of Dripping Springs, Earl Michael Rogers and wife  June of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Gary Philip Rogers and wife Nancy of Austin; three grandchildren, Griffin and Trey Holifield and Lauren Mohs; five aunts, eight nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents.
