Norman Odell Pearce, 75, of Baird died Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Schowengerdt officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross Cemetery in Baird. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Norman was born February 2, 1945 in Phoenix, Arizona to John Wesley and Ora Mae (Thornhill) Pearce. He attended school in Coolidge, Arizona and later earned his degree in diesel mechanics. He served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Callahan County from Miami, Arizona in 1982. Norman married Margaret Miles in Fort Worth on August 5, 2006. He worked as a diesel mechanic for many years and was a member of the Clyde First Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Pearce of Baird; two sons, Wesley Duane Pearce and wife Katherine of Abilene and Albert Dale Pearce and wife Debbie Abilene; two daughters, Tami Dobbs and husband Steve of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Norma Pearce of Abilene; brother Joe Pearce of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters, Debra Cramer and husband Terry of Mineral Wells and Marilyn Carpenter and husband Dana of Washington; eight grandchildren, Steven C. Dobbs and wife Myvi of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Edward Dobbs of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Craig Pierce and wife Ally of Abilene, Courtney Pearce of Abilene, Alex Pearce of Vermont, Aric Pearce of Abilene, Jordan Stewart and husband Rick of Big Spring and Jared Pearce of Abilene; two great granddaughters, Savannah Pearce of Abilene and Maddy Pierce of Abilene and many other relatives and friends.

Norman was preceded in death by his first wife Darlene Pearce in 2001, three brothers, Doyle, James and William Pearce.
