Obbie Lee Cunningham, 65, of Clyde died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in an Abilene hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Albany Cemetery with Jonathan Jarratt officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Obbie was born October 28, 1955 in Breckenridge to Obbie Thomas and Inous Marie (Dillard) Cunningham. He graduated from Albany High School and then attended Cisco Junior College. He married Cynthia (Cindy) Groce in Crane on May 23, 1998. They moved to Clyde from Midland in 2014. He was a staff associate for Shell Oil Company for 43 years and a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of Clyde; four sons, Jason Cunningham and wife Megan of Midland, Taylor Wells and wife Danielle of China Spring, Micah Wells of Odessa and Jake Wells and wife Nichole of Midland; two sisters, Alice Scott of Abilene and Margaret Ashley of Anna; six grandchildren, Rhyder Cunningham, Will Wells, Kate Wells, Ethan Wells, Erica Wells and Hailey Wells.

Obbie was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Zelma Loter.
