Oleta Fay Knight, 58, of Clyde passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in a Clyde nursing center. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde with a graveside service following at Round Mound Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with Darel Baucum officiating.

Oleta was born December 2, 1966, in Abilene to Marvin Baucum and Linda Ruth (Shelton) McGough. She attended schools in Nocona. She loved music, especially Elvis and Tanya Tucker, and enjoyed singing and even had the opportunity to sing in a band in her younger years.  She also loved animals of all kinds and being with her family. She believed that family is everything.

She is survived by her son, Reasal Baucum and wife, Cece of Clyde; daughter, Lacey Rau of Clyde; two brothers, Otis Baucum and wife, Deserrie of Abilene and Darel Baucum and wife, Tonya on Smithville; two sisters, Connie Fine of Clyde and Sandra Baucum; seven grandchildren, Matthew Baucum, Madison Baucum, Myleigh Baucum, Preston Hukill, Waylon Hukill, Jonathan Hohimer and Hannah Martin; daughter-in-law, Ashley Goode and husband, James of Clyde; aunts, Dorothy "Aunt Dee" Mosher of Abilene and Veegee West of Abilene; special friend, Carma Brock Kurtz of Hamby and many other relatives and friends.

Oleta was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Baucum and Linda McGough and her nephews, Jesse and Daniel Baucum.
