Patricia "Patsy" Dora Moreland, 85, of Clyde passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Jarrell Hill and Pastor Travis Sims officiating. Patsy was born February 13, 1939, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Allie J. and Lena Mildred (Howell) Williams. She graduated from University High School in 1957 and married John Leeverl Moreland in Waco on August 10, 1957. They moved to Clyde from Big Spring in 1977. Patsy worked for People's State Bank for a few years and later as a librarian for Clyde ISD, retiring after many years. She was a member of the Clyde First Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Patsy loved reading, especially mystery novels, and playing WaHoo. She traded many books with family and friends over the years. She truly enjoyed that she passed her love of reading down to her daughter and many family members.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Lena; her husband, John Leeverl; three sisters, Allene Tye, Charline Hunt and Gloria Harrelson and her great grandson, Jace Michael Akers.
