Pat was born September 6, 1936, in Vale, Oregon to William L. and Ruby M. (Feltman) Griffiths. She graduated high school in Emmett, Idaho and married Raymond LeRoy York on September 16, 1956. Shortly after, they moved to Cuba, New Mexico, where Pat worked at Del Prado Café for several years. They moved to Sylvester, Texas in 2001 and Pat moved to Abilene shortly after Raymond passed away in 2020.
Pat was known for her outgoing nature and ability to make friends wherever she went. She had a warm, caring spirit and was always generous with her time and love. Her boisterous laugh could light up any room, leaving everyone around her feeling more joyful. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she made sure to keep family traditions alive, delighting her daughters and their families with homemade cookies and candies, spreading cheer and love through every thoughtful treat she made. Pat's kindness and vibrant presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Pat's loving daughter, Kathie, and her husband, Jim, provided tender and affectionate care for her over the last four years. Their devotion and compassion during this time brought Pat immense comfort, and their support was a true reflection of the deep bond they shared. Kathie and Jim's unwavering love helped make Pat's final years peaceful and filled with warmth, just as she had always given to others.
She is survived by four daughters, Vickie Czlapinski and husband Darold of Farmington, New Mexico, Kathie Mancine and husband Jim of Abilene, Texas, Joni York of Crockett, Texas and Denise York-Florez of Grand Prairie, Texas; one brother, Gary Griffiths of Boise, Idaho; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her sisters, Dorothy Gratton and Barbara Clapp; her brother, William Griffiths, Jr. and her granddaughter, Anna Watson.
