Philip Michael Garoutte, 53, of Abilene, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, in an Abilene hospice facility. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde, TX, with Pastor Brian Massey officiating.
Viewing will be from 6:00p.m. to 7:30p.m., Thursday May 3rd, and 12:00p.m. to 1:p.m. on Friday May 4th. Burial will follow the service at the Clyde Cemetery.
Philip was born August 25, 1964, in Abilene to William Marcus (Mark) and Suzanne (Harman) Garoutte. He attended school in Clyde and was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing, country living, and the companionship of his dog named Pooh.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Mark and Sharlyn Garoutte of Abilene; son Tyler Sinclair of San Antonio; two sisters, Renee Hilbig and her husband Charles of Denton Valley, and Michelle Garoutte of San Antonio; stepsister Nancy Melton of San Antonio; stepbrother Randy Cave and his wife Ada of San Antonio and sister-in-law Dee Cave of Rockwall; his aunt Kay Detrick and her husband Ronald of Lampasas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Philip was preceded in death by his mother Suzanne, step brother Rodney Cave, both paternal and maternal grandparents and his beloved Pooh.
