Phillip Webb Scott, 77, of Clyde passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, at his home. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Phillip was born March 8, 1947, in Bethany, Missouri to George Erwin and Dorothy (Webb) Scott. He graduated high school in Bellville, Illinois and attended Bellville Junior College. He served nine years in the U.S. Navy and married Kay Francis Kohleymer in Bellville, Illinois on October 8, 1966. They moved to the Abilene area in 1992 and to Clyde in 2005. Phillip worked in sales for Toshiba for many years. After retirement, he volunteered for the Taylor County Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 36 for a few years.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Scott; two sons, Robert D. Scott and wife Stacey of Manassa, Virginia and John P. Scott and wife Teresa of Abilene; one daughter, Georgina L. Thomas of Dover / Foxcroft, Maine; one sister, Angela N. Scott of Aurora, Colorado; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
