Rachel Diane Drury Powell 1978 – 2023

Rachel Diane Drury Powell was born December 15, 1978 in Pocatello, Idaho and died September 5, 2023 in Arlington, Texas. She is the third of four children of Robert (Bob) Lowell Drury and Darro Jean Miller Roberts. Rachel graduated from Trinity High School in Euless, TX in 1997.

In 2012 Rachel married Darrell Wayne Powell. She and Darrell lived in the Arlington, Texas area where they shared life until he passed away unexpectedly in November 2019. Following Darrell's death Rachel continued to live in the Arlington area and went to work for the U-Haul company where she eventually became General Manager at their north Arlington self-storage location . Rachel was engaged to marry Scott Miller of Hurst, Texas in October 2023.

Rachel is remembered by her family and friends as a sweet, personable and loving person who had an infectious laugh and made friends for life. Rachel will be greatly missed until we're all reunited after this life. She is survived by her father and wife Lynell Mash Drury of McKinney, Texas, her mother Darro Roberts of Nampa, Idaho, her sister Angela and husband Robert Stadler of McKinney, Texas, her sister Allison and husband Ken Bloore of Oak Park, California, her brother Matt Drury of Fort Worth, Texas, her brother Josh and wife Sarah Casey Drury of McKinney, her step-sister Kelli and husband John Hill of

McKinney, Texas, her step-sister Kristi McClure of Denton, Texas, her step-grandmother Doris Mash of McKinney, Texas, her fiancé Scott Miller of Hurst, Texas and 12 nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 26th at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, 200 Fair Oaks Blvd., Euless, Texas 76039. She will be buried in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery along side her husband Darrell Powell the same day.
