Ramona Aparicio Alvarez Harris, 84, of Clyde died Monday, March 11, 2019 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Ramona was born August 31, 1934 in Millsap, Texas to Asencion Cardenas and Fernanda (Castaneda) Aparicio. She graduated from Millsap High School and attended San Antonio Baptist Academy. She married the father of her children, Mike Alvarez, Jr. in Millsap in January of 1956. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Palo Pinto General Hospital for 40 years. After her first marriage ended, she later married Jerry Harris in Mineral Wells on August 11, 2001. They moved to Clyde from Mineral Wells in 2012. Ramona was a member of the Southside Baptist Church of Clyde. She loved crocheting, singing, especially at church, playing the piano, shopping, but most of all she loved her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing many meals for her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Mike Alvarez II and wife Jenny of Irving; two daughters, Dolores Everett and husband Bobby of Clyde and Christine Franklin and husband Rodney of Mesquite; two sisters, Dolorez Rodriguez of Baird and Sofia Flores of Millsap; 12 grandchildren, Michelle Alvarez and husband Nick of Fort Worth, Micky Simone and husband William of Irving, Monica Neuman and husband Jared of Irving, Mindy Alvarez and wife Tabitha of Dallas, Meagen Villareal and husband Ryan of Dallas, Krystal Rummell of Clyde, Joe Rubalicado, Jr. of Abilene, Zachary Everett of Clyde, Christy Lee of Edom, Jaime Franklin of Mesquite, Jason Franklin of Mesquite and Candice Phillips and husband Jonathan of Garland; twelve great grandchildren, Douglas, Garrett and Brendan Rummell, Kevin, Hannah and Emma Lee, Elijah and Chloe Franklin, Caroline Neuman, Parker Phillips, Asher Alvarez and Noah Ryan; step children, Jody Harris of Arlington and Joy Spurlin and husband Wayne of Mineral Wells and several nieces and nephews.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry in 2017, two brothers, Simon and Cecil Aparicio; two sisters, Martha and Ruth Aparicio and grandson Bryan Lee.
